On this tour, you will visit ancient temples, taste traditional Sri Lankan snacks, and get a view on local life in the countryside in Sri Lanka. Keep your legs moving on the light treks, but also try the local transportation by bus and tuk-tuk!
On the way, we will visit three famous temples. Lankathilaka Temple, a 14th-century temple built on a huge rock. Gadaladeniya temple was built in South Indian style and you have a great panoramic view from the hilltop in which its located.
The third temple is called Embekke devalaya which is renowned for its impressive wood carvings.
On the way, you will see Home gardens, Small countryside paths, Paddy fields, People, Wildlife, Small Industries, Tea plantations, Water canals: the local life. Taste Sri Lankan traditional snacks and fresh fruits from the countryside and a visit to the Herbal and spices garden.

What you can expect
At 7.30am you will be picked up from any place in Kandy. By 8.00am you will visit the Gadaladeniya Ancient Temple. After the visit, at around 9.00am you will embark on a light trek to reach the Lankathilaka Temple through the home gardens, paddy fields, small paths and etc. The trek is about 4.5km in length. You can snack on some fresh fruit during the trek.
By 11.30am you will reach the Lankathilaka Ancient Temple. After the experience, around 12.30pm you will be treated with some traditional Sri Lankan snacks.
Afterward, you will again set on a Light trek to reach the Embekke devala through countryside streets, Tea plantations, Small industries, etc.
Around 2.00pm, you will reach the Embekke Devala. After enjoying your visit you will take a bus journey to Daulagala at around 3.00pm. Afterward, at around 3.30pm, you will get to experience a Tuk Tuk Ride to journey to Pilimatalawa.
At around 4.30pm you will visit a Herbal and Spice Garden. Afterward, you will begin the drive back to Kandy around 5.00pm
